Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

07:00 AM: Pick up from Kampala and depart for Murchison Falls via Luweero and Masindi (approx. 6–7 hours).
10:00 AM: Optional stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for on-foot rhino tracking (extra cost).
12:30 PM: Stop for lunch in Masindi or at Kabalega Diner.
03:30 PM: Arrive at Murchison River Lodge and check in to your room, cottage, or tent.
05:00 PM: Relax with views of the River Nile, or take an optional guided nature walk.
07:00 PM: Dinner and overnight stay at Murchison River Lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive & Boat Cruise to Murchison Falls

05:30 AM: Early breakfast at the lodge.
06:00 AM: Cross Paraa Ferry for a morning game drive in the northern sector of the park.
06:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Spot elephants, lions, giraffes, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, and a variety of antelope species.
12:00 PM: Return to the lodge for lunch and a bit of rest.
02:00 PM: Transfer to the Paraa jetty for a boat cruise to the base of the falls. Watch hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and water birds.
05:00 PM: Optional hike to the top of the falls (moderate fitness required).
06:30 PM: Return to Murchison River Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Optional Chimp Trekking in Budongo – Return to Kampala

06:00 AM: Early breakfast and check-out.

08:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Guided trek to observe wild chimpanzees and learn about the tropical rainforest ecosystem.
11:30 AM: Begin return drive to Kampala.
01:30 PM: En route lunch at Kabalega Diner or Masindi.
