Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala to Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch – Rhino Tracking & Nature Walk

  • 07:00 AM: Depart Kampala and drive north to Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch (approx. 3.5–4 hours).

  • 11:00 AM: Arrive and check in to the Ziwa Guest House or ranch lodge accommodation.

  • 11:30 AM: Head out for a guided rhino tracking experience on foot – an unforgettable chance to observe Uganda’s only wild rhinos.

  • 01:00 PM: Return to the lodge for lunch and rest.

  • 03:00 PM: Join an afternoon nature walk or birding excursion – over 300 bird species have been recorded, including the rare shoebill stork.

  • 07:00 PM: Dinner and overnight stay at Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch.

Day 2: Full-Day Excursion to Murchison Falls National Park

  • 06:00 AM: Early breakfast and depart for Murchison Falls National Park via Masindi and Kichumbanyobo Gate (approx. 2.5–3 hours).

  • 09:00 AM: Begin a morning game drive in the northern sector – look out for elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes.

  • 12:30 PM: Lunch break at Paraa or packed lunch near the ferry.

  • 02:00 PM: Board the Nile River boat cruise to the base of the thunderous Murchison Falls – home to hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant birdlife.

  • 05:00 PM: Optional hike to the top of Murchison Falls for panoramic views (if interested).

  • 06:30 PM: Return to Ziwa Rhino Ranch for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Optional Chimpanzee Trekking – Return to Kampala

  • 11:30 AM: Begin return drive to Kampala.
