Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala – Arrival & Sunset Game Drive

  • 07:00 AM: Depart Kampala via Masindi and Luweero (approx. 5.5–6.5 hours).

  • 10:00 AM: Optional stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for on-foot rhino tracking (additional fee).

  • 12:30 PM: Lunch stop in Masindi Town or at Kabalega Diner.

  • 03:30 PM: Arrive at Papa’s Camp, located near the southern Kichumbanyobo Gate of Murchison Falls National Park.

  • 05:00 PM: Settle into your room and enjoy a peaceful nature walk or relax with forest and savannah views.

  • 07:00 PM: Dinner and overnight at Papa’s Camp.

Day 2: Game Drive & Nile River Boat Safari

  • 05:30 AM: Early breakfast at the lodge.

  • 06:00 AM: Cross the Paraa ferry and begin a morning game drive in the northern sector.

  • 06:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, hyenas, oribi, Jackson's hartebeest, and more.

  • 12:00 PM: Return to the lodge for lunch and a bit of rest.

  • 02:00 PM: Head to Paraa Jetty for a boat cruise on the River Nile to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls.

  • 05:00 PM: Optional hike to the top of the falls for a panoramic view of the crashing waterfall.

  • 06:30 PM: Return to Papa’s Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Optional Chimpanzee Trekking – Return to Kampala

  • 06:00 AM: Early breakfast and check out.

  • 07:00 AM: Transfer to Budongo Forest for optional chimpanzee trekking (advance permit required).

  • 08:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Enjoy a guided forest walk to track chimpanzees and learn about tropical flora and fauna.

  • 11:30 AM: Begin the drive back to Kampala.

  • 01:30 PM: Stop for lunch en route.

  • 06:00 PM: Drop-off in Kampala at your hotel or residence.
