Kidepo National Park

Journey to the remote and rugged northeast of Uganda and discover Kidepo Valley National Park, a hidden gem and one of Africa’s last true wildernesses. Nestled between the Karamoja plains and the mountains bordering South Sudan, Kidepo is celebrated for its dramatic landscapes, untouched savannahs, and rich wildlife diversity.

Kidepo is home to over 77 mammal species and 475 bird species, offering some of the best and most exclusive game viewing in Uganda. It’s the only park in the country where you can spot cheetahs and ostriches in the wild, alongside lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, and hyenas. The open landscapes and few tourists make every game drive feel like a private adventure.

Highlights include exploring the Narus Valley, where wildlife gathers around water sources, and the Kidepo Valley, known for its seasonal riverbed, hot springs, and sweeping vistas. The park also offers cultural encounters with the Karamoja and Ik communities, adding a unique human dimension to your safari.
